COURSE DESCRIPTION
This training provides a comprehensive overview on next generation 5G Cellular network evolutions planned from today to 2020. Including main focus of standards bodies on future needs such as:
Network Virtualization, Enhanced Broadband for Consumer devices, Emergency Services disaster requirements, low bandwidth, low power, high volume needs for massive IoT…, with the challenges linked to deploying and securing these future connectivity services and subscriber data privacy.
AT THE END OF THE TRAINING YOU WILL
- Understand the drivers, service requirements, and main use cases targeted by network evolution towards 5G
- Understand the key 5G concepts such as NFV, Slicing, Orchestration…
- Be able to describe the main 5G security considerations and possible solutions
- Be able to list the 5G Standards from 3GPP/ETSI and related organisations, and their evolutions
- Understand the 3GPP Release 15 USIM (& OTA) evolutions for 5G standards & coming products.

TEACHING METHODS
Courses include theoretical session presentations made by the trainer, and generally include demos/hands-on exercises so students can reinforce the theory with practice.
KNOWLEDGE ACQUISITION METHODS
Quizzes are also used to ensure each student can check his/her acquisition of key concepts, and to allow the trainer to go back over points that may need reinforcing.
